Alpine R2-W8D4 Next-Generation 8-inch R-Series Subwoofer with Dual 4-Ohm Voice Coils

The Alpine R2-W8D4 is a next-generation 8-inch R-Series subwoofer engineered for powerful and accurate bass performance. Building on decades of subwoofer engineering experience, the 2nd-Gen R-Series subwoofers feature a larger motor structure for more authoritative bass and tighter control compared to previous generations.

Key features include a Kevlar-reinforced pulp cone for durability and rigid performance, even at high volumes, and a new polypropylene/ceramic composite dust cap that ensures rigidity while providing excellent internal damping to smooth out bass response and reproduce tight bass. Alpine's High Amplitude Multi-Roll (H.A.M.R.) Surround technology allows for maximum cone excursion (12mm X-Max) for incredible accuracy and efficient air movement while staying cool.

Designed for flexible applications, the R2-W8D4 features dual 4-ohm voice coils with easy configuration jumpers, allowing for various wiring options. It is optimized for both sealed and ported enclosures, providing versatility to suit different audio preferences. An integrated Faraday ring minimizes distortion for cleaner bass output, and a twist-lock grille mounting system simplifies the installation of an optional grille.
