AudioControl AC-LGD Load Generating Device & Signal Stabilizer

The AudioControl AC-LGD (Load Generating Device) is a crucial accessory designed to address challenges encountered when integrating aftermarket audio equipment with modern factory sound systems. Many late-model OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) systems, particularly those utilizing Class D amplifier technology, are designed to sense a speaker load on their outputs. When factory speakers are removed for an aftermarket upgrade, these systems can react negatively by muting, distorting, or emitting damaging frequencies to the new audio equipment.

The AC-LGD solves this issue by generating an acceptable impedance load and stabilizing the signal from the factory system, ensuring optimal audio performance. Using carefully selected resistors and a Zobel Network, the AC-LGD prevents the factory amplifier from shutting down or producing undesirable audio characteristics. These devices come in pairs and are easily connected between the factory speaker outputs and your line output converter (LOC), signal processor, or amplifier with speaker-level inputs. They feature standard wire colors for straightforward installation and are compatible with most devices with speaker-level inputs, including AudioControl's own Factory System Upgrade products.
