Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface

The Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface allows you to retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel audio controls when installing an aftermarket car stereo. This versatile interface is compatible with most vehicles equipped with OEM steering wheel controls and a wide range of popular aftermarket head unit brands, including Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, and more, provided the new stereo has a 3.5mm steering wheel control input or a wired remote control input.

Installation is simplified with the ASWC-1's auto-detection feature, which automatically recognizes the vehicle type, radio connection, and presets the steering wheel controls. For vehicles not supported by auto-detection, manual programming is also an option, allowing users to customize button functions and even assign dual commands. The interface features non-volatile memory, ensuring that programming is retained even if the vehicle's battery is disconnected.

The ASWC-1 is designed for easy updates via a Micro "B" USB connection, ensuring compatibility with future vehicle and radio models. It typically connects at the radio location, often requiring splicing into existing vehicle wiring, though some Metra Axxess OEM integration adapters may offer a prewired connection.
