CRUX BTS-TY2 Bluetooth Audio Streaming, USB Music Player and Auxiliary Audio Input for Select Scion and Toyota Vehicles

The CRUX BTS-TY2 is an add-on Bluetooth/USB/Aux interface adapter designed to bring modern audio connectivity to select OEM Scion and Toyota radios from 2003-2010. This adapter allows users to stream music wirelessly via Bluetooth, play music from a USB memory device, and connect external audio sources through a 3.5mm auxiliary input. It integrates seamlessly with the factory radio, utilizing the 12-pin (6+6) CD changer port, and allows for track and folder control using existing radio panel or steering wheel controls for USB playback.

Beyond music streaming, the BTS-TY2 also enables navigation app voice prompts to be heard through the car's audio system while in Bluetooth mode. The module includes a USB port that can be used to charge a smartphone (5V/0.5A) and comes with a magnetic phone mount for convenience. Installation typically involves removing the factory radio to access the CD changer port, and the unit automatically switches between Bluetooth, USB, and auxiliary inputs based on the connected device. It's important to note that while it provides audio streaming, it does not support Bluetooth hands-free calling functionality.
