Metra 40-VW10 Audi/BMW/Mercedes/VW Antenna Adapter 1973 - 2017

The Metra 40-VW10 ANTENNAWorks Antenna Adapter is an essential component for installing an aftermarket radio in select Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Volkswagen vehicles from 1973 to 2017. This adapter allows you to retain the use of your vehicle's factory antenna with your new aftermarket head unit.

Designed for a simple plug-and-play installation, the 40-VW10 features a male Motorola™ connector on one end, which connects to the aftermarket radio, and a female Volkswagen/Audi European-style flat plug connector on the other, which connects to the vehicle's original antenna cable. It includes a capacitor to ensure proper impedance matching for optimal AM/FM radio reception. This eliminates the need for splicing new connectors, making the installation process quick and straightforward.

Please note that some newer European radios may have internal capacitors that can interfere with this adapter. In such cases, the Metra 40-VW12 adapter may be required instead.
