Metra Electronics 40-VW53 Audi/VW Antenna Adapter 1998-2010

The Metra 40-VW53 is an aftermarket radio to factory antenna adapter designed for select Volkswagen and Audi vehicles from 1998-2010, as well as certain BMW and Dodge Sprinter models. This essential cable allows for the seamless integration of an aftermarket car stereo with the vehicle's original amplified antenna system.

The adapter features a male Motorola™ connector on one end, which plugs into the aftermarket radio, and a coax connector on the other end that connects to the factory antenna cable. A crucial blue wire is included for power, ensuring that the vehicle's factory amplified antenna booster receives the necessary power for optimal signal reception. This product is a powered version of the 40-VW10 and can be used in place of the 40-VW54 if space is limited.

By using the Metra 40-VW53, installers can avoid cutting or modifying the factory wiring, preserving the vehicle's original electrical system. It ensures enhanced signal reception and audio quality for a superior listening experience with your new car stereo.
