PAC AmpPRO AP4-TY12 Advanced Amplifier Interface for Select Toyota/Lexus Vehicles

The PAC AmpPRO AP4-TY12 Advanced Amplifier Interface is engineered to dramatically simplify the installation of upgraded amplifiers in data-bus controlled amplified sound systems found in select Toyota and Lexus vehicles. This module allows you to enhance your vehicle's audio performance while retaining the original radio's fit, finish, and features. It eliminates the need for complex DSP and summing devices by providing a clean, low-level pre-amp signal directly from the factory radio.

The AP4-TY12 delivers a variable 5V RMS pre-amp output (switchable to 4V) across 6 channels (front, rear, and subwoofer) with full fading, balance, equalization, and level control capabilities. It ensures the retention of crucial factory audio features, including Bluetooth audio and phone, navigation voice prompts, safety chimes, warning tones, and factory steering wheel audio controls. An accessory-controlled +12V remote amplifier turn-on output (2A max) is also provided. For advanced users, the AmpPRO PC App (for Windows PC only) allows for configuration of minimum volume level, chime volume level, a 3-band EQ with adjustable frequencies and Q-factors, and firmware updates. An optional APA-TOS1 adapter (sold separately) can provide a 2-channel fiber optic digital audio output (TOSLINK).

Compatibility is specific to select 2012-2018 Toyota and Lexus vehicles equipped with factory data-bus controlled JBL or JBL Synthesis premium amplified sound systems, utilizing 28-pin, 10-pin, and 6-pin factory radio connectors. It is important to note that the interface is not compatible with Mark Levinson systems or navigation in some Lexus models, and the factory amplifier must remain connected and operational.
