The Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12 is a high-performance 12-inch subwoofer from the Punch series, designed to deliver deep, powerful bass for car and truck audio systems. It features dual 2-ohm voice coils, offering flexible wiring options to optimize power output from your amplifier. This subwoofer is engineered to handle 600 Watts RMS and 1200 Watts peak power, ensuring robust and consistent bass performance.

Key to its design is the rigid anodized aluminum cone and dustcap, paired with a Santoprene surround, which maintains its shape during heavy play while remaining lightweight and responsive. The subwoofer incorporates Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST™) to increase the cone area by up to 25%, allowing it to move more air for even bigger bass. A hybrid StampCast basket provides exceptional strength while minimizing weight and resonance, contributing to clean and accurate bass reproduction.

To combat heat, the aluminum cone acts as a giant heat sink, directing heat away from the copper-clad aluminum voice coils. Special venting and an anodized aluminum voice coil former help keep the voice coils cool, ensuring consistent performance over time. The P3D2-12 also features an extended pole piece and bumped backplate, providing more room for heavy excursion to hit deeper lows without 'bottoming out'.

The P3D2-12 is versatile, performing equally well in sealed or ported enclosures, allowing users to customize their bass experience. It includes custom 10-AWG nickel-plated push terminals and a diamond-cut cast aluminum trim ring with an optional grille, making it a durable and aesthetically pleasing addition to any car audio setup.
