Sundown Audio Sundown HZ12D4 Horizon Series 12" Subwoofer Dual 4-Ohm 1500W Peak / 750W RMS

The Sundown Audio HZ12D4 Horizon Series 12" Subwoofer is engineered to deliver deep, clean, and hard-hitting bass for high-performance car audio systems. With a robust 750W RMS and 1500W peak power handling, this subwoofer is built for daily durability without compromising on sound quality.

It features dual 4-ohm voice coils crafted from high-temperature 4-layer copper, ensuring long-lasting performance and offering flexible wiring options for system setup. The subwoofer boasts a class-leading 14mm Xmax for superior excursion, allowing for accurate and powerful bass hits.

Constructed with a heavy-duty cast aluminum basket, a hard-reinforced pressed paper pulp cone, and a high-roll layered pressed foam surround, the HZ12D4 is designed for strength, rigidity, and controlled cone movement. A vented motor gap and pole piece optimize heat dissipation, contributing to its reliability during extended play.

The Horizon Series subwoofers are recommended for ported enclosures to maximize output and efficiency, though they are also compatible with sealed designs. Stitched Mini-XL tinsel leads and a bolted spider pack further enhance its durability and long-term performance.
