Sundown Audio SW-HZS12D4 Horizon HZS 12" Shallow Mount Subwoofer DVC 4-Ohm

The Sundown Audio Horizon HZS 12" Shallow Mount Subwoofer is engineered to deliver powerful, clean bass in installations where space is at a premium. This 12-inch shallow-mount component subwoofer is designed for enthusiasts who need true low-frequency performance without sacrificing valuable installation space. It's an ideal solution for behind-seat truck enclosures, under-seat truck boxes, SUVs, crossovers, and other space-limited applications.

Rated at 600 watts RMS (1200 watts peak), the HZS 12 features a new heavy-duty cast aluminum basket design for enhanced mechanical strength and reduced resonance. It incorporates a 2.5-inch black aluminum voice coil for strong thermal stability and reliable daily output. The high-roll foam surround and progressive spider suspension ensure smooth, controlled excursion and accurate playback, even under demanding conditions.

The subwoofer's advanced vented motor design with a solid pole piece provides excellent thermal management and improved heat dissipation during extended play, contributing to long-term reliability. Optimized for compact enclosures, the HZS 12 performs exceptionally well in both sealed (recommended 1.0 cubic feet net) and ported enclosures (recommended 1.5-1.75 cubic feet).
